PINE BLUFF, Arkansas -- Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Isias Alcantar, who played shortstop for the Golden Lions but is projected as a catcher in the pros, went to the Tampa Bay Rays in the 36th round with the No. 1,087 pick. The 6'0" 215lbs player is the son of Abel Alcantar, the head coach at D2 power Chico State. He also was a transfer to the Golden Lions from Laney College in California.
