Fobbs in tears after GSU's wild win over Alcorn

LORMAN, Mississippi -- Grambling coach Broderick Fobbs only knew of one way to celebrate Saturday's thrilling win over Alcorn State.

He cried.

The second-year head coach broke down and got emotional in Lorman, Mississippi, just moments after Jamison Goins blocked an extra point that gave Grambling a 35-34 overtime win over previously unbeaten Alcorn State, which entered as the top-ranked HBCU team.

"These kids fight. They fight. That's all I can say," Fobbs said, via GSU sports media, as he fought back tears.

"We've been so down. They thought they were burying us but they didn't know we was a seed. We coming from the ground. We're Grambling. That's just the way we are. We're Grambling. We gone to fight. This is for coach (Eddie Robinson), this is for (Doris Robinson). We going to fight. This is the 'G.'"
