Stillman men's basketball picked to win division

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama  -- Stillman College has been picked by league coaches as the favorite in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball West Division race.

The Tigers were picked to win the division, receiving eight first-place votes. Lane was picked second, followed by LeMoyne-Owen, Tuskegee, Miles, Kentucky State, Central State and Spring Hill. Benedit was picked first in the East Division.

Stillman, which finished 17-10 last season with an 11-1 home record under first-year coach Donte Jackson, won the SIAC West last season.

Stillman placed two players on the preseason All-SIAC squad: guard Rodnerius Lewis, who averaged 20.2 points and 4.7 rebounds last season, and Marcus Crenshaw, who averaged 10.9 points and 4.5 rebounds as a guard.
