BALTIMORE, Maryland – The Battle for Greater Baltimore will write its next chapter downtown. Morgan State is set to host Towson on Dec. 8 at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore for the Charm City Classic. The game is set for Saturday, December 8 at 1 p.m.

Originally scheduled to be contested at Hill Field House on December 8, 2018, the Morgan-Towson game will be the first of a doubleheader matchup at Royal Farms Arena, followed by Maryland and 2018 Final Four participant Loyola Chicago scheduled to tip at 4 p.m.

"Playing at Royal Farms Arena will be a tremendous atmosphere for everyone involved and we are excited to be participating this year," said Morgan State's director of intercollegiate athletics Edward Scott. "We expect to receive tremendous support from our fans in the Baltimore area and to be able to bring this game into their backyard is something we take great pride in."

Morgan State has a 4-3 series edge since 1972 in matchups decided on a neutral court against Towson.

This will be the first Morgan State-Towson regular season game to be played at a neutral site since the Tigers held on to defeat the Bears 71-69 in overtime on Nov. 16, 2004 in the Guardians Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
