STORY LINES
* Miami will face Bethune-Cookman in the Canes' 2012 home opener at Sun Life Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. EDT on ESPN3. It will be the second all-time meeting between the programs after they met for the first time at Sun Life Stadium in Miami's 45-14 win in 2011.
* Under Al Golden, the Hurricanes are a perfect 6-0 after a loss, including this season’s opener in which Miami avenged a loss at home to Boston College.
* The Hurricanes are a perfect 4-0 in home openers at Sun Life Stadium. Miami has defeated Charleston Southern (2008), Georgia Tech (2009), Florida A&M (2010) and Ohio State (2011) since it left the Orange Bowl following the 2007 season.
* After racking up 214 all-purpose yards in his collegiate debut against Boston College, RB Duke Johnson added 178 more to his season total. His total was bolstered by a 77-yard fourth-quarter kickoff return that set up Miami's only touchdown against Kansas State. Johnson ranks 1st in the ACC this season with 198.5 all-purpose yards per game.
