GRAMBLING, Louisiana -- The Grambling State University Tigers rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Prairie View A&M, 66-63, on Saturday at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
The win was Grambling’s first over PVAMU since 2005.
Four GSU players scored double digits, with Deonte Hearns leading the team with 21 points.
“I was really disappointed, angry, with my team at halftime,” GSU coach Shawn Walker said after the game. “Prairie View is a difficult team to play against Our team has been down every game. I really don’t concern myself with how far we’re down. I challenged them all the way through the game.”
