WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - A.G. Hall will step into his first head-coaching job with a firm belief in himself.
His message Wednesday, when he was introduced as the women's basketball coach at Winston-Salem State, was simply: "We will get it done."
Hall, 37, will be charged with building a team that can contend for the CIAA title. He'll sign a four-year contract worth about $80,000 a year, athletics director Bill Hayes said.
"You look at all the programs here and what they've accomplished, and I know we have to fall in line and try to get there," said Hall, who played basketball at N.C. Central and who has spent 12 seasons as an assistant women's coach.
