ITTA BENA, Miss. - Despite a game-high 15 points from Darrion Griffin the Jackson State men's basketball team fell 81-53 to the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils in SWAC action Saturday night before standing room only crowd of 4,798. From the tip-off, the game appeared to be paced for another classic SWAC battle with the lead going back and forth. JSU held a 31-30 lead with just over three minutes in the first half. Valley then went on a 7-0 run to take a 38-31 lead into halftime. Valley took control in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 43-22.

The Delta Devils (7-12, 5-3 SWAC) will return to action Monday when they host Grambling State at 6 p.m. live on ESPNU.
