BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The Southwestern Athletic Conference and the Hall of Fame unveiled an all new logo for its annual event. Commissioner Duer Sharp announced the changes Wednesday afternoon. The new logo, which features blocked and bold lettering, reflects the league offices’ commitment to preserving and promoting SWAC history while continuing to honor its heritage.
Trailblazers, record-setters, innovators, are words that embody the legends enshrined in the SWAC Hall of Fame which will be held in Houston, Texas on Dec. 3, 2015. The logo will be featured in conjunction with other ancillary events leading up to the 2015 Toyota SWAC Football Championship Dec 5. at NRG Stadium.
“The SWAC Hall of Fame reception has always maintained
a long and storied history as an integral part of our conference,” said Duer Sharp, SWAC Commissioner. “The all new logo will be a tribute to anyone that has played, coached, watched, or supported the Southwestern Athletic Conference”.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), established in 1920, is a college athletic conference headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., which is comprised of historically black universities in the Southern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports and the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
